Magellan supporters have moved us to 59%. I never cease to be amazed by the private investment. Some small, others larger….but all greatly appreciated!
Meanwhile, I am still working on another new music site and will announce the project sometime (hopefully) in the fall.

PLEASE BE AWARE YOU ARE MAKING A DONATION TO SUPPORT THE BAND, NOT PRE-ORDERING THE CD. THE PRODUCTION SCHEDULE WILL BEGIN AFTER THE FUNDING TARGET IS REACHED. ALSO, CONTRIBUTORS WILL RECEIVE AN EXCLUSIVE BONUS TRACK. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS BEFORE PARTICIPATING… THANK YOU!
Pirates will have to wait for Magellan…that much we can guarantee. While our new strategy isn’t perfect, its better than being unprepared for the “inevitable pirate ambush”. This time around we’ll raise funds first, before they attack.
To clear up any confusion or speculation, this is simply part of a broader business strategy – “Operate on private investment whenever possible“.
We have asked Magellanheads to consider financing $15,000 USD (only a portion of projected expenses) for our new album, “Inert Momentum”, each contributor making a donation (in advance of production) via Paypal.
Traditional options still available are not a “reasonable business proposition”. From the very beginning, Magellan fans have backed this concept of private support.
Diminishing the effects of piracy that result in lost revenues and wasted marketing efforts is key. Historically, most losses have occurred within days of our albums initial release or promo period.
Our purpose is to continue evolving, without repeating ourselves. That means improving the experience for Magellanheads and of course…the music itself!
We’ve already proven this idea works in the past, but haven’t advertised it as being one of our strategies. Positive feedback from private investors keep us committed to the idea of reaching out even further.
We will report back as the numbers change. Look for updates.
